Four Personal Finance Apps that Make a Difference

Apps are the small programs that you take with you on your phone or tablet, and the best financial apps can make a big difference in how effectively you manage your money.

Four Top Apps for Personal Finances

There may be no better way to ensure that your personal finances are in as good a shape as possible than hiring a Las Vegas CPA. Even the best CPA can’t do everything for you, such as balancing your budget while you stand on line to make a purchase. The tiniest of details are where these four apps can make a big difference in your life.

Personal Capital

Personal Capital is a free and award-winning app that supports wide range of devices, including the iWatch. The app gives you access to a broad financial platform. Many of these services are free as well, but even if you don’t use any of them, Personal Capital shines through in the holistic and completely customizable views that it provides you of your personal finances.

Mint

Mint is free and has support for many different devices as well. What Mint does really well is provide you a snapshot of your finances in the moment, but it also shows the ripple effect caused by your decisions. You can have monthly, annual and custom financial goals, and Mint will instantly show you how that $50 meal you didn’t plan on will affect those goals.

Quicken

The core Quicken app is not free, but it’s a must-have on-the-go tool for anyone who’s concerned with managing his or her investments. In addition to portfolio management, it helps you to budget, pay bills and aggregate accounts. Furthermore, there’s integration with Quicken for Windows/Mac/Linux, and since Quicken recently purchased Mint, integration is expected on that front as well.

Wave

Wave is a free app that provides some of the same features as Personal Capital, Mint and Quicken do, but Wave caters to small business owners. SBOs understand how crucial it is to keep their business and personal finances separate, and Wave helps you to do that in a very creative and useful way.
